Our Enrichment Programs
Safety Harbor Kids Enrichment Programs are designed to introduce disadvantaged youth to the activities and experiences they have been denied in life. Their difficult life has squelched the light in these children’s eyes with hardship and suffering. Safety Harbor Kids aims to rekindle that light in the eyes of as many children as possible with love and kindness and by helping them achieve their dreams through education.
Our programs in College, Career, Music, Art and Personal Growth are meant to enrich their lives and provide a lasting support system for these deserving children.

The Virginia Tackett Reading and Literacy Program
We teach the kids essay writing in preparation for the SAT.
Safety Harbor Kids Academic Tutoring
Children receive personal one on one instruction in history, foreign language, economics and business from qualified tutors.

Safety Harbor Kids Career Education and Job Placement Program
We teach the kids how to complete job applications, how to interview and good work habits. Working with our sponsors and other supporters, we place the children in jobs at various businesses so they may develop work ethic and receive hands on experience.

We teach children music, provide supplies and give personal one on one lessons.
We also provide individual instruments and supplies to eager students with instruction.

We teach the children photography on a small group or one one basis.

We teach children art, provide supplies and give personal one on one lessons with qualified teachers.

Safety Harbor Kids Music and the Arts Program is designed to provide children the tools which allow them to pursue their artistic aspirations in the areas of music, painting and creative dramatics. We seek to develop and enhance the childs artistic expression through lessons which focus on encouragement and positive reinforcement, providing instruments and art supplies, with a Music and the Arts Scholarship available for children who demonsrate intense devotion to their art. The Safety Harbor Kids Music and the Arts Program recognizes the value of musical and artistic expression as a means of self help and personal growth through music therapy. Music and artiistic expression are ways for a child to shed the emotional encubrances of their every day plight and have a time to be free to express themselves and grow on an emotional and psychological plane.
